The Antelope Audio Edge GO is a premium large-diaphragm USB condenser microphone that integrates professional-grade conversion, microphone modeling and real-time FPGA effects processing into a single recording system. Designed for vocalists, voice-over artists, podcasters and content creators, it provides a direct digital recording workflow without requiring a separate audio interface.

At its core is a 34 mm dual-diaphragm condenser capsule with gold-sputtered membranes. The multi-pattern architecture provides cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-8 pickup characteristics, allowing the microphone to adapt to solo vocals, speech, interviews and a variety of studio recording configurations.

Unlike a conventional USB microphone, Edge GO incorporates an Antelope Audio A/D conversion stage derived from the company’s professional audio-interface technology. The microphone ADC provides a dynamic performance specification of up to 117 dB, allowing the analogue capsule signal to be converted directly inside the microphone before reaching the computer.

Integrated FPGA processing provides low-latency access to Antelope’s real-time effects platform. Instead of relying exclusively on native computer processing, compatible effects can be handled directly by the microphone’s internal system, making it possible to monitor processed sound while recording or streaming.

Edge GO includes 11 modeled vintage microphones, allowing the tonal characteristics of different classic microphone designs to be applied digitally. This provides a broader range of recording characters from a single physical capsule and allows the microphone to be adapted to different voices and production styles.

The system also includes a collection of 20 real-time effects, covering microphone and preamp modeling, equalization, compression, reverb, tape-style saturation and noise-control processing such as PowerGate. Presets and effect parameters are managed through Antelope Audio’s dedicated software control environment.

Support for Auto-Tune Synergy further expands the system for vocal production by enabling real-time pitch correction within the Synergy Core environment. Parameters such as Retune Speed, Flex-Tune and Humanize can be adjusted for anything from transparent correction to more pronounced creative processing.

A dedicated 3.5 mm stereo headphone output enables direct monitoring from the microphone. Its integrated headphone D/A converter is specified with a signal-to-noise ratio of 112 dB, providing a self-contained recording and monitoring path without requiring a separate desktop interface.

Connection to the computer is handled through USB Type-C, with USB 2.0 compatibility. The microphone can also operate with computers using conventional USB Type-A connectivity when an appropriate cable or connection is used, making it suitable for a broad range of recording setups.
