The V-MODA M-200 are professional closed-back studio headphones developed for critical monitoring, mixing and mastering. As a reference-oriented model in V-MODA’s M-Series, they combine detailed sound reproduction with a durable metal construction designed for demanding studio use.

The acoustic system is built around large 50 mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets and CCAW — copper-clad aluminium wire — voice coils. The drivers were tuned with input from Roland engineers, with the objective of achieving a precise and controlled presentation suitable for detailed production work.

With an extended 5 Hz to 40 kHz frequency response, the M-200 are designed to reveal subtle elements within a mix, from low-frequency definition and stereo placement to reverb tails and high-frequency detail. Their Hi-Res Audio certification further reflects their focus on high-resolution reproduction.

The closed-back over-ear architecture provides useful passive isolation and limits sound leakage, making the headphones suitable not only for mixing but also for tracking and monitoring in studio environments. The circumaural earcups surround the ears to create a more controlled listening environment.

With an impedance of 30 ohms and sensitivity of 102 dB at 1 kHz / 1 mW, the M-200 can operate with professional studio equipment as well as a broad range of portable sources. Comfort is supported by removable memory-foam ear cushions covered in sweat-resistant synthetic leather. A wide adjustable headband uses a strong yet flexible metal structure designed to maintain a secure fit throughout extended studio sessions.

The headphones feature left and right input connections, allowing the cable to be attached to either earcup depending on the working setup. The detachable cable architecture also makes replacement and configuration changes more convenient in professional environments.

For transport, V-MODA integrates its CliqFold hinge system, allowing the earcups to fold inward into a compact format. A reinforced carrying case protects the headphones between studio sessions and during mobile production.

The M-200 also support conventional analogue connectivity through a 3.5 mm connection, with a 6.3 mm TRS adapter included for professional equipment. One of the supplied cable configurations also incorporates a microphone for additional everyday versatility.
