Avantone Pro CK-40
The Avantone Pro CK-40 is a premium stereo FET condenser microphone designed for detailed recording of vocals, instruments and ensembles. Its distinctive dual-capsule architecture combines two 35 mm large-diaphragm capsules, with the upper capsule rotating through 180° for precise stereo positioning.
Each capsule offers independently selectable cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-8 polar patterns, allowing the CK-40 to support advanced stereo recording configurations including X/Y, Blumlein and M-S. This flexibility makes it particularly suitable for acoustic instruments, piano, drum overheads, ensembles and sophisticated studio recording.
An 80 Hz high-pass filter helps control unwanted low-frequency energy, while the -10 dB pad provides additional headroom when recording powerful sound sources. The microphone is supplied as a complete professional package with a shock mount, windscreen, 9.1 m 5-pin XLR cable, breakout cable, wooden storage box and metal transport case.
