Korg handytraxx 1bit
Korg handytraxx 1bit
Korg handytraxx 1bit brings together the character of analogue vinyl and advanced high-resolution recording technology in a compact, portable format. Designed for listeners who want more than conventional playback, it combines a turntable, integrated stereo speakers, premium phono equalization and professional-grade vinyl digitization in one sophisticated system.
Its defining feature is 1-bit DSD recording, allowing vinyl records to be archived at resolutions of 5.6 MHz or 2.8 MHz. When paired with Korg AudioGate 4 software, recordings can also be converted into formats such as FLAC, WAV and MP3, making it easy to preserve an analogue collection while adapting it for modern digital listening.
The integrated phono equalizer incorporates Korg’s Nutube vacuum-tube technology, developed to deliver a warm and harmonically rich sonic character. A dedicated TUBE control allows the tonal contribution of the circuit to be adjusted according to personal preference.
Despite its advanced architecture, the handytraxx 1bit remains highly portable. Its footprint is approximately equivalent to A3 size and its weight is around 3 kg. Built-in stereo speakers enable standalone listening, while operation from six AA batteries provides additional flexibility away from a fixed audio system.
A versatile tonearm with adjustable counterweight supports cartridge customization and precise tracking-force adjustment. The supplied JICO J44A 7 cartridge is engineered for confident tracking and powerful analogue reproduction. Dedicated line and phono outputs allow the turntable to become part of a more advanced external audio system when required.
USB connectivity completes the concept, providing a direct route for high-resolution vinyl digitization on a computer. The Korg handytraxx 1bit is therefore equally suited to focused home listening, archival work and portable analogue playback.
