The Pro-Ject Art Essential III George Harrison OM10 is a collectible limited-edition Hi-Fi turntable created through a special collaboration between Pro-Ject Audio Systems and Universal Music Group. Dedicated to George Harrison, the influential musician and former member of The Beatles, this edition combines the proven Essential III platform with distinctive artwork and carefully selected analogue components.

Produced in a strictly limited run of 2,500 units worldwide, the turntable features artwork by renowned artist Shepard Fairey. The visual concept transforms the minimalist Essential III platform into a distinctive collector’s piece while retaining the engineering principles of a dedicated Hi-Fi turntable.

The rigid MDF plinth provides a stable, resonance-resistant foundation for the playback mechanism. Special decoupling feet further reduce the transmission of external vibration, helping maintain stable conditions for the cartridge and tonearm.

An acrylic platter forms an important part of the design, offering both visual refinement and favourable resonance characteristics. The belt-drive system uses a synchronous motor with a silicone belt and a precision diamond-cut aluminium drive pulley. Integrated DC motor control helps minimise vibration while maintaining stable platter speed.

The 8.6-inch aluminium tonearm is fitted with precision sapphire bearings and allows adjustment of tracking force, anti-skating, VTA and azimuth. This provides the flexibility required for accurate cartridge alignment and fine-tuning of the analogue playback system.

Pro-Ject equips this edition with the respected Ortofon OM10 Moving Magnet cartridge. Its elliptical stylus and balanced performance make it a natural match for the tonearm and provide a detailed, musical presentation straight from the factory.

The turntable supports 33⅓ and 45 rpm through manual speed selection. A precision platter bearing with a stainless-steel spindle contributes to smooth rotation, while the supplied Connect it E phono cable with gold-plated RCA connectors provides the analogue connection to an external phono stage or compatible amplifier.

There is no integrated phono preamplifier or digital processing: the design remains intentionally focused on the analogue signal path. A dust cover is included to protect the turntable when it is not in use.
